Cirque Dreams: Holidaze West Palm Beach Theatre reviews
Hank Williams Jr. Is amazing.
- Hank and the band played a good show, but I paid way too much for seats $75.
- He put a new spin on his classics and had some pretty damn funny moments, but I'm tall and I still couldn't see the stage.
- Before the show even started, drunk people were falling into us.
- When Cirque Dreams: Holidaze came out, some guy pulled our seats out to stand on them for a view.
- He gave them back when I turned around, but it was still a heap of crap.
- We ended up standing down in the grass the whole time because these seats dang near ruined the show.
disappointed
In the LA area, I have gone to see every show of Cirque Dreams: Holidaze and I love it. The terrible sound quality was a major issue as I could only understand about 40% of what was being said. My guest, as well as three ushers at the show, also mentioned the poor sound quality and could only comprehend 30%. They pointed out that the audio was messed up. Bill, who doesn't usually get political, took a different approach in this show and tried to appeal to both sides, but mainly to the libs. Unfortunately, the attempt at humor fell flat and wasn't funny. I wish he would stick to the style of jokes he used to do before.
Lipsinct
The performance was extremely disappointing. They essentially lipsynced the entire show, stalling for time. Taking turns to express their love for one another and how they came together, not once but 2 or 3 times. In addition, they repeatedly thanked the audience, which most people understood the first time. There was no Band or background singers, only a "DJ" handling the synthesizer while they mimed singing. Despite the high price of almost $200, the audience expected a full-scale entertainment experience. The show itself was pathetic, leaving the reviewer feeling robbed. Cirque Dreams: Holidaze didn't help either, starting late.
There was a significant mix-up between the information provided by the stewards of Reliant Stadium and the individual schools. The gate opening time given by Cirque Dreams: Holidaze was 12:30PM, but the gates actually opened closer to 1:00PM. Standing in the open heat with limited shade and no access to concessions in the upper 90's temperatures was uncomfortable. If the weather had been cooler, this issue might not have been as significant. At the south entrance, the lack of water concessions made the situation even more challenging.
